Memorial services for Lester Barnes, 70, of Huntington were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 in the Brown Cemetery. Mr. Barnes was born on January 28, 1942 in Bastrop, LA and died September 23, 2012 in Huntington after attaining the age of 70 years, 7 months, and 26 days.

      Lester was a veteran in the U.S. Army as an artillery specialist. He loved fishing on Lake Rayburn, his Jack Russell Terriers, his little dog “Big Boy”, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He always had a wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all of his friends.

      He is survived by a host of loved ones.
