Memorial service for Tina Lea Basey, 39, of Etoile was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in the First Ora Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Keith Rose officiating. Tina was born September 15, 1973 in Lufkin to Joyce (Russell) and to the late Fred Basey and passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 in a Nacogdoches hospital.

      Tina was a loving mother, friend to everyone, and loved animals. She was a member of the First Ora Missionary Baptist Church.

      She is survived by her daughter, Liberty Caye Basey; mother and step-father, Joyce and Paul Tucker, all of Etoile; step-mother, Sammie Basey; sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Nathan Scott; brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Janice Basey; brother, Keith Basey; aunts, Fern and LaVerne Basey, all of Huntington; uncle and aunt, J.W. and Chris Russell of Tyler; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends..

      Tina was preceded in death by her father, Fred Basey and her grandparents.

      In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Ora Missionary Baptist Church building fund, PO Box 1057, Huntington, TX 75949, or to the Animal Shelter of your choice.

      Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Snead Linton Funeral Home.
