Virginia “Jenny Ruth” Bailey

      Funeral services for Virginia “Jenny Ruth” Bailey, 67, of Lufkin were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015 in the Highway Missionary Baptist Church in Huntington with Brother Lamar Denby officiating. Interment followed in the Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Bailey was born March 10, 1947 in Lufkin to the late Ruth (Scarborough) and Buford Christopher and died March 7, 2015 in a local hospital.
      Mrs. Bailey loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, gardening, and doing crafts. “Jenny Ruth” was always eager to lend a helping hand to friends, family, and anyone else in need. She was a beautician for 40 plus years, retired Activity Director for Trinity Missions, and of the Baptist faith.
      She is survived by her husband, Charles Bailey, Sr.; son, Timothy Kilgore; daughter and son-in-law; Susan (Kilgore) and Cary Parker; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Jr. and Angie Bailey and Kirby and Britta Bailey; grandchildren, Baylie Parker, Dalton Parker, Cody Bailey, Caylan Bailey and Ashley Bailey; sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and Butch Maddux; special friends, Sara Clark, Sandy Linton, and Sandy May; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
      Mrs. Bailey is preceded in death by her parents.
      Pallbearers were Dalton Parker, Cary Parker, Timothy Kilgore, Cody Bailey, Caylan Bailey, Sloan Maddox, Aaron Clark, and Randy Havard.

      Honorary pallbearers were Charles Bailey, Jr. and Kirby Bailey.
      Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the church.
