Bruce Wayne “Beau” Babineau

      Memorial services to celebrate the life of Bruce Wayne “Beau” Babineau, Jr., 37, of Lufkin, were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 in the Pollok Baptist Church with Brother Tony Shaw and Brother Joe Carrier officiating. Mr. Babineau was born July 1, 1974 in San Antonio and died December 2, 2011 at his residence. He was employed as a plumber, loved his family, and had a great appreciation for music. He was a member of the Pollok Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

      Mr. Babineau is survived by his mother, Brenda Schoffstall of Iola; sons, Benjamin McClendon and Chaise Wigley; daughters, Isabella and Sophia Babineau, all of Lufkin; father and wife, Terry and Karen Sweeney of Corsicana; sisters, Nicole Babineau of Pollok, Lisa Sweeney of Lufkin, and Danielle Babineau of San Antonio; brothers, Brian Perkins of Pollok and Christopher Babineau of San Antonio; maternal grandparents, Phillip and Deena Woods of Iola; a number of aunts and uncles and other relatives and numerous friends.

      He was preceded in death by a sister, Faith Babineau; paternal grandmother, Ozell Sweeney; maternal great-grandparents, Rudolph and Maudie Canada; and a nephew, Kaleb Wallace.

      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Isabella and Sophia Babineau account at Huntington State Bank.

      Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Snead Linton Funeral Home.
